COMMON INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
Pattern of the SSB interview is almost same and so are the questions. The style of asking questions may vary but you must admit the fact, that there are some common questions which are always asked in the SSB interview.
1. Why do you want to join the defence Forces?
2. Why you have only applied for Army? Don’t you like Navy and Air force?
3. Do you have a girlfriend?
4. Tell me your 3 weaknesses and 1 strength?
5. What you do you think about the place you come from?
6. What do you think 3 best qualities of your father?
7. Why should i select you?
8. Who is your best friend and why do you like him?
I am not providing you the answers to these questions as i consider it as totally illogical. You should have your own strategy to deal with them. They may have more than one replies but one thing is sure that you have to answer these questions with a positive attitude. When they ask you about weaknesses or something in negative, it is expected to find positiveness in that too. Neither, appreciate anything beyond limits nor to keep on criticizing.
If analyse in depth, whole SSB procedure of 5 days can be categorized in two catgories, Psychology tests and group tasks.
Psychology Tests
Officer Intelligence Rating Test, Thematic Perception Description Test, Picture Perception description Test, Word Association Test, all are there to test your mental ability, intelligence and other aptitudes. Your writing skills and communication skills are also tested in this section. Take care of each and every answer as the level of your mind’s positivity, fertility and optimism will be reflected through this test. Meanwhile, psychology tests is your chance to show your officer like qualities.
Group Tasks
Group discussion, Group Planning, Progressive Group Task, Individual Obstacle Task, Group Obstacle Race are included in Group tasks where you have to perform different tasks with the members allotted in your group. Generally, aspirants neglect to prepare for physical activities in group tasks. They are going absolutely wrong. GTO requires a lot of preparation and hard work right from the very beginning. Your team spirit, confidence and mental ability will be check here. Take balanced diet and work on your physical fitness.
